About the Project
The design for Sorekara is deeply rooted in the philosophy of "And Then", which represents a continual journey of discovery and layered experiences. Inspired by the restaurant's vision to honor Japanese-American cuisine through the lens of timeless luxury, we created a multi-sensory dining environment that mirrors the artistry and intentionality of Executive Chef William Shen. The concept of layers served as the foundation for the spatial narrative-drawing parallels between the chefs' meticulous layering of flavors and ingredients in their ever-evolving tasting menu, inspired by Japan's 72 micro-seasons.
